MOTHERS’ DAY

The P&C are excited to be running the Mothers’ Day Stall this year. Each class will visit the Mothers’ Day stall on either the 9 or 10 May and students can select gifts to buy for their Mum, Grandmother or significant person or carer in their life. Each class has been allocated a day and time to shop so that parents know which day to send money to school.

We have sourced lots of fresh and modern products that we know will be a hit for all. The stall will be set up in the hall, with a one-way entry and one-way exit to ensure ease of flow.

WHAT DAY IS MY CHILD PARTICIPATING?

Thursday, 9 May: Prep A, Prep B, Prep E, 1A, 1E, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2F, 3A, 3C, 3E, 3F, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, 5E, 6A, 6B, 6E, 6F

Friday, 10 May: Prep C, Prep D, Prep F, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1F, 2D, 2E, 3B, 3D, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5F, 6C, 6D

Your child’s teacher will be able to confirm the exact time their class will be shopping on those days.

Quiet Shopping We will be holding a ‘quiet shopping’ session for those children who need a low'-sensory experience. Quiet shopping will be held at first break on Thursday 9 May.

HOW DOES MY CHILD PAY?

The Mothers’ Day stall is CASH ONLY. Gifts will be priced between $1 and $20. The P&C will enlist help from willing parents to help the children choose a gift and then they will be directed to the cash register to pay for the gift. We ask that you give your child a bag to bring to school to put their gifts in.

CAN I VOLUNTEER TO HELP?

All volunteers are welcome to help with our Mothers’ Day stall! As little as an hour a day, or staying the whole day, whatever suits you. We need volunteers to help run the stall, including helping students choose gifts, restocking tables, setting up and packing down. We also need some help on Friday, 3 May from 9am - 12pm to help with pricing and sorting stock.

We just ask that all volunteers have first completed their Mandatory Training as per the Department of Education Requirements

Volunteering is a great way to help support the school and make this an incredibly successful and fun day for the whole Wishart State School Community, and every little bit of help counts!
