Do you think that P&C is not for you, or that you can’t make a difference?
Here are some myths that we want to bust about being a part of the P&C!

The P&C can survive without volunteers.
— No events, no fundraisers, no new readers, playgrounds or iPads. No providing for the school that all of our children attend. All members of the P&C are volunteers including the executives.
There are lots of P&C members and volunteers already
— Wishart Sate School is a school of $1,100 students, With the P&C having around 40 members that is only about 3% of our school community actively involved. Imagine how much more we could achieve if we had more helpers!
I can’t help, I work full time, I am too busy.
— We understand that everyone is busy. Meeting attendance isn't compulsory, but they are a great way to hear what is going on at the school. There are many ways that you can help out around the School. See link below:

The Committee doesn’t like or want new ideas.
— We are a committee with a focus on community inclusion and involvement. We definitely seek ideas and people who would love to try and help develop our community culture. We love trying new things and would love to hear your ideas.
I will get nominated to do things I might not want to do.
— There are many volunteers around the school who help out in a variety of ways. You are welcome to nominate to assist but will never be forced into anything you don't want to do.
One hour won’t make a difference.
— Every single minute of your time is valuable to us. We appreciate and encourage people to let us know their availability and skill sets. One hour can make a huge difference to the P&C and Wishart State School.
