CLASS REPRESENTATIVES AT WISHART

At Wishart State School we value the role parents/carers and the wider community plays in our students’ education. A Class Representative is a parent/carer from each class who will promote parent involvement in our school community and facilitate communication. The time and commitment a Class Representative gives is much appreciated

The Class Representative role

The Class Rep's primary role is to be a conduit of information to parents/carers. This will be done by:

  • Encouraging parents/carers to feel part of the school community by being involved in school events, in the classroom and at school events outside the classroom eg. sporting events, music events, etc.

  • Promoting and providing timely communication to parents/carers in the class contact list regarding activities and events.

HOW DO I BECOME A CLASS REP?

  1. Nominate for the position via your classroom teacher.

  2. Receive the approved email addresses from the class teacher.

  3. Minimum requirement is to forward emails to the class contact list about P&C events, volunteer opportunities and any support the teacher requires.

  4. Remember to Cc the class teacher and to Bcc the parents/carers in all emails.
