Active School Travel: State of Origin dress up day
Show your team spirit by dressing up in your best State of Origin attire and joining in the fun at school. There will be a raffle for the best dressed in Origin gear, as well as a raffle draw for students who actively travel to school that morning, encouraging both participation and healthy habits.

Bush Dance Night BBQ
2026 Wishart State School Bush Dance under Lights will be held on Tuesday, 11 August. The kids have been working hard in their classes to learn their dances, and are keen to show off their skills, so put on your cowboy boots, and be ready to dosey doe.

Father's Day Stall
The P&C are excited to be running the Father’s Day Stall this year. Each class will visit the Father’s Day stall on either the 2 September or 3 September and students can select gifts to buy for their Dad, Grandfather or significant person or carer in their life.
Colour Aquathon
Our 2026 Colour Aquathon will be held on Thursday, 17September, we will be to raise funds to upgrade our beloved Tuckshop. We look forward to being able to achieve this with your help.
Over the last 3 years we have raised over $100,000 and we are hoping 2026 will be our biggest year yet! Not only is this event about fundraising but it’s also about FUN and it is a highlight on the schools’ calendar.
can I volunteer to help on the day?
All volunteers are welcome to help with our Colour Explosion School Fun Run! There are a range of jobs from helping on obstacles, to cooking the BBQ. Time slots are 1 hour long. You can choose to volunteer at a time that your child is participating, or you can watch from the side line while they have their turn, and then volunteer during another Grade’s timeslot, your choice!!
We just ask that all volunteers have first completed their Mandatory Training as per the Department of Education Requirements
Volunteering is a great way to help support the school and make this an incredibly successful and fun day for the whole Wishart State School Community!
Please note: Volunteers are required to follow health and safety requirements. We kindly ask that anyone who volunteers wear closed in shoes at fundraising events. Thongs/open-toed shoes are not acceptable footwear.
REGISTER TO HELP ON THE COURSE
Is the powder safe?
The non-toxic colour powder is made of high-quality corn starch and permitted food colours, so it’s safe for skin and eyes. Students with asthma are advised to be careful in their decision to participate. All students will be given a headband and sunglasses to wear while running to avoid powder going into their eyes.
How does my child fundraise?
WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING DEADLINE?
All online and cash donations must be submitted before Thursday, 17 September.
INCENTIVES TO FUNDRAISE
There are a number of school-based incentives for your child to fundraise. Not only does the money go towards the building of multi-purpose court for students and families, but each child has a chance of winning prizes as well!
Slime a Staff Member All students who raise over $100 go into the draw to win a spot at sliming a staff member
Pokémon Set All students who raise over $50 go into the draw to win a Pokémon set
Pizza Party The Highest fundraising class will win a pizza & ice block party.
Ice Block Party The class with the highest online profiles created will win an ice block party.

Pancake Brekkie #2
On Friday 16 October at 7:45am, the P&C is hosting a Pancake Breakfast to share the excitement for the first event of the school year in 2026. The P&C will provide free pancakes for staff and families and we will have the coffee van onsite for those who wish to purchase a morning drink.
Disco Night #2
Hooray, it’s disco time! The first disco of the year will be held on Thursday, 22 October, in the school hall. Come along, and dance the night away!
There will be a Gold coin donations at the front door, and all proceeds will go towards benefiting the school.

World Teachers Day

On Monday 23 November at 5:00pm, the annual ‘End of Year Music Showcase’ will be held. The P&C Association will be holding a BBQ and Cake stall available for purchase from 4.30 pm.

End of the Year Christmas Raffle
Raffle will be drawn at the final school assembly 8th December 2026.
All prizes have been generously donated by local businesses and Wishart State School families meaning all proceeds from the raffle can be input directly back into our school to be spent on resources and facilities upgrades in the future.

Active School Travel: World Environment Day
Celebrate World Environment Day with our school community! Students are encouraged to wear green and walk to school from the park, collecting litter along the way to help care for our local environment.
Parents/carers and students who wish to participate can meet at the school at 7:45 am to walk down to the park together, or meet directly at Berkshire Crescent Park at 8:00 am.
All students who take part in the litter pick-up will be entered into a raffle to win Active School Travel prizes, with one winner drawn from each grade.

Under 8’s Day BBQ
On Thursday, 22 May P&C is hosting a BBQ to help the kids in Prep to Grade 2 celebrate Under 8’s Day.
Mother’s Day Stall
The P&C are excited to be running the Mothers’ Day Stall this year. Each class will visit the Mothers’ Day stall on either the 7 or 8 May and students can select gifts to buy for their Mum, Grandmother or significant person or carer in their life. Each class has been allocated a day and time to shop so that parents know which day to send money to school.
We have sourced lots of fresh and modern products that we know will be a hit for all. The stall will be set up in the hall, with a one-way entry and one-way exit to ensure ease of flow.
Active School Travel: Meander with Mum – walk from the park
Join us for a special Mother’s Day walk from the park, celebrating the important women in our lives. Students are invited to walk alongside their mum or a mother figure, showing appreciation for all they do and the positive impact they have on our school community.
Meet us at school at 7:45 or at the park at 8:00 and walk to school with your mums.

We are excited to release the Vacation Care Program for the upcoming Autumn (April) holidays.
How and when to book
Early Bird bookings open: 3.00 pm – Monday, 9 March 2026
Early Bird bookings close: Sunday, 5 April 2026
Early Bird discount code: EBAUTUMN26
Any bookings made after Sunday 5 April 2026 will be charged the casual booking fee.
Cancellations to bookings made prior to 5pm Sunday 5 April 2026 will be classed as Fee-Free Cancellations, and the session removed
Cancellations after this date/time will be charged full fees.
All current fees must be paid up to date before making Vacation Care bookings.
Excursions / Incursions
No excursion bookings will be accepted unless a completed permission form is returned at the time of the booking.
Please refer to the Program for more excursion/incursion information
Permission forms for all excursions will be available from 3:00 pm, Monday 9 March 2026 and must be completed at time of making the booking.
They can be downloaded from the Wishart P&C Website, under the Vacation Care heading on the right-hand side of the WOSHC page

Early bird fee of $70 per child/day
Casual fee of $75 per child/day will apply to bookings made after Sunday 5 April 2026.
Excursion / Incursion additional fees will be added at time of booking confirmation
Food
Our daily fee includes morning and afternoon tea only
Please refer to the Program in relation to food requirements on days with excursions
Families will be required to supply their children’s lunches. Please note we are a nut and egg free service. Do not bring any food products that contain nuts or eggs. This includes NO Nutella sandwiches, peanut muesli bars and other similar food items

Harmony Day
Harmony Day is held each year in March. It’s a time to celebrate our cultural diversity and a time to reflect on the importance of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the World.
Harmony Day; a day to celebrate our school’s cultural diversity is on Friday 20th March 2026.
There will be a Harmony Day Assembly on Friday 20th March @ 10am for Year 1 - 6 students in the Hall.
Students and staff are welcome and encouraged to wear cultural dress or orange to school on this day.
Parents are welcome to attend.
Naplan - Fruits - Cheese & Crackers
The P&C Association wishes all students in Year 3 and Year 5 the very best of luck as they sit the first of their NAPLAN exams today.
Pancake Brekkie #1

Everyone is welcome, so come along to school early, have a chat with some school families, hear about what P&C do to help the school, and maybe you can find a way that you can help as well.
Bush Dance Raffle
Wishart State School P&C would like to present our Bush Dance Raffle.
All prizes have been generously donated by local businesses and Wishart State School families meaning all proceeds from the raffle can be input directly back into our school to be spent on resources and facilities upgrades in the future.

Winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be announced at the Bush Dance.
