JUNIOR CROSS COUNTRY

For those that don't know, our school is the current Queensland Athletics Primary School State Cross Country Champions. Our state success starts at a school level. Our school Cross Country Carnivals encourage participation and team spirit. So, we are looking forward to an awesome 2024 event!

On Thursday, 18 April, Wishart States School Junior school is participating in the Junior Cross Country. This is a great opportunity for friends and families to come along and watch the kids run some laps of the oval, cheer them on and support the school. The running will take place on the school oval from 9am - 10:45am, and is for all kids from Prep to Grade 3.

Students will need to wear their house colours. Aranda (Red), Awarkarba (Yellow), Mooloola (Blue) and Jagara (Green). Students are required to bring along a named water bottle, a sun safe school hat and their running shoes.

The Parent Spectator Zone will be on the terrace area near the carpark.

BBQ AND COFFEE CART

During the Cross Country P&C will be hosting a BBQ and cold drinks stands. Please come along and buy a sausage and a cold drink. You could even consider volunteering for a time slot either before or after your child has run. We need people to cook sausages, handle money and be a friendly face You don’t have to volunteer while your child is running because we understand how important it is to watch them run!
